First Innings: SRH's Powerplay Blitz
Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by Ishan Kishan, were put into bat first and got off to a sensational start. The opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head decimated the PBKS bowling attack, racing to 105/0 in the Powerplay—the joint third-highest score in IPL history for the first six overs.
Abhishek Sharma was the standout, hammering 74 off just 28 balls, including 5 fours and 8 sixes.
Travis Head contributed a brisk 38 off 23 balls.
However, the momentum shifted when Shashank Singh dismissed both openers in a single over. Following their departures, SRH's middle order struggled to find rhythm. Heinrich Klaasen laboured to 39 off 33 balls, and SRH eventually finished at 219/6.
